1.  National Digital library of India

The National Digital library of India is a project under Ministry of Human Resource Development, India. The objective is to integrate several national and international digital libraries in one single web-portal. The NDL provides free access to many books in English and the Indian languages.

  

2.  Swayam

The Swayam is a programme initiated by Government of India and designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality. The objective of this effort is to take the best teaching learning resources to all, including the most disadvantaged. SWAYAM seeks to bridge the digital divide for students who have hitherto remained untouched by the digital revolution and have not been able to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy.

 

3.  e-PG Pathshala

The e-PG Pathshala is an initiative of the MHRD under its National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT) being executed by the UGC. It is a gateway to all PG Courses.

  

4.  e-Pathshala

The e-Pathshala, a joint initiative of Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), has been developed for showcasing and disseminating all educational e-resources including textbooks, audio, video, periodicals, and a variety of other print and non-print materials for Students, Teachers, Parents, researchers and educators. It provides access to digital textbooks for all classes, graded learning materials and enables participation in exhibitions, contests, festivals, workshops, etc.

  

5.  C.B.S.E.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by Union Government of India. There are approximately 21,271 schools in India and 220 schools in 28 foreign countries affiliated to the CBSE. From 309 schools in year 1962, as on year 2019, CBSE has 21,271 schools and 228 schools in 25 foreign countries. All schools affiliated to CBSE follow the NCERT curriculum.

  

6.  NEPTEL

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2003. Five core disciplines were identified, namely, civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering and mechanical engineering and 235 courses in web/video format were developed in this phase.

Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more. The Internet Archive offers over 12,000,000 freely downloadable books and texts. There is also a collection of 550,000 modern eBooks that may be borrowed by anyone.

10.  National Repository of Open Educational Resources (NROER )

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India has launched a National Repository of Open Educational Resources (NROER ) . The development of it has been a combined effort of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, the Central Institute of Educational Technology, National Council of Educational Research and Training and Metastudio, which is the platform that hosts the Repository.

 

11. ManyBooks

ManyBooks provides free ebooks for your PDA, iPod or eBook Reader. You can randomly browse for a ebook through the most popular titles, recommendations or recent reviews for visitors. There are 21,282 eBooks available here and they’re all free!

22. SATHEE


The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education in collaboration with IIT Kanpur has started SATHEE (Self-Assessment, Test and Help for Entrance Examination) portal   to provide quality education to every student who intend to participate in competitive Education such as JEE, NEET and various State level Engineering and other Examinations. Ministry of Education has written to all State/UTs to inform educators and students about this facility which can be used for competitive examinations preparation and for knowledge enhancement.

To support students preparing for JEE and other engineering examinations, a 45 days crash course of JEE has been launched on 21st November 2023 curated by IIT toppers, academicians and subject experts. This crash course is available in 5 language including English. All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) has developed AI based translation tool. This tool supports 22 Indian languages. Several workshops/Seminars have been organized in institutions/colleges to create awareness about this tool and its utility.
